Context DOES matter. Purpose, motives, situation DOES matter. Who does what when, does matter. things do not happen in a vacuum with no historical or time dimension.

like @sjoma said, what about the jews, sinti and roma, queers, freedom fighters, especially those in the concentration camps. Many of them WANTED German Cities to be bombed. Because it meant a sooner end of the war or an end at all.

yes, it is unjust that children died. responsible for it at first and foremost Nazi Germans. Most of the German population were fascists. SO, the PARENTS.

Yes, it is not good, that also antifascists, marginalized and oppressed ppl and children died. It is unjust, it is shit. But Nazis brought that.

I argue, that there is a HUGE myth buliding going on concernig Dresden from right wing forces. Especially in Germany.
They costantly bring it up, frame it absolutely deceivingly and lie about it. Every year, on/around feb 13th, one of the biggest Nazi demonstrations of the year is taking place in Dresden with phrases like "civilian *slaughter*" and so on. Also leaving out why Dresden was bombed.

@sjoma in Bautzen/Dresden some of the Sorbian prisoners (and resistance fighters) could flee from prison due to the bombings. Saved their lifes.
